What equipment is supplied & what will I need to buy?
We provide most of the football equipment needed (helmet, shoulder pads, game uniform, etc.). This equipment is distributed before the first practice, and requires a $200 security deposit. After the season the equipment must be returned to the Junior Barons in clean, good condition.
You will need to purchase the following for your child: protective cup, cleats, and a practice jersey.

What is required of parents?
Football & cheerleading is a family commitment. The Brighton Junior Barons is a 100% volunteer organization, and therefore depends entirely on the coordinated efforts of volunteers (you). As a parent you can expect that your children will receive quality coaching, will strengthen their values and bodies and will have a memorable season. To make that possible, the Junior Barons expect each family to volunteer for 10 hours (3 slots) during the season, per child participant.
Anyone who has not signed up by August will be assigned a job before the season starts. Your child will not be allowed to play or cheer until you have committed to 10 hours of volunteer work for the team.
Additional volunteer information is available on our Volunteer information page.

Brighton Junior Barons Football
The Brighton Junior Barons is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization.
Boys and girls participate in our football and cheerleading programs. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of each sport, promote sportsmanship and teamwork, while encouraging each child's personal development.
In 2008, youth football and cheerleading returned to Brighton for the first time in more than 20 years. We are striving to become an integral part of our community.
We are a member of the American Youth Football & Cheerleading League (AYFCL), an independent youth football and cheerleading league based in the Greater Rochester, NY area.
Our coaches bring years of experience to the field. With their guidance, your child will develop football or cheerleading skills, have fun and make new friends.
We hope your family will join the Brighton Junior Barons' family!
